Onto St Jacobs - Oct 5th

WOW, WOW, WOW what a day with friends!!! It started off with breakfast at Bobby's Hideaway in Streetsville - yummy and filling!

Then onto Georgetown via Hwy 7 and some awesome scenery.

Stopped into the Hobby Horse Quilt Shop and it was 20 years since my last visit!

Then onto the road again and through Guelph, what a lovely city on our way to St Jacobs.

John took us to the St Jacobs Farmers Market and talk about FIVE full large barnlike structures with outdoor vegetable stands - WOW!  We only went through two.  And I think a large number of Ontarions were there alongwith bus loads.  The one thing that turned me off there was the smell of silage - pukey!

We then travelled onto Elmira and caught the St Jacobs historical train tour on the tracks.

Now aiming for the Nine Patch Quilt Shop where I was kinda quick inside while John was on the other side reserving our spot in the Crossroads Restaurant.  That was an absolutely delicious smorgasboard with loads of home cooked dishes and desserts, finally on my tab!  The following pictures are from the Crossroads site photos.

The following are my pics!

Then it was the return trip trying to get onto Hwy 8 to the 401 which was in a standstill because of an accident so through Kitchener to the 401, onto the 407 and then 403 into Mississauga 6ish!

Yeppers a very long day on a beautiful fall day!
