A Quiet Day!

Ohhhh what a lovely day as Yvonne had it off and we shopped Dixie Mall and I bought two pants and a top before heading home for lunch.  Then we headed off to Sew Sisters Quilt Shop in North York where I enjoyed shopping but missed chatting with Judy!

Hopefully next time I come out for Tat Days and another visit I'll get to see her and Elaine who is at a convention this week!  Once home we relaxed with a glass of wine!  And tonight is supper at home too!!!!!  We finished off me tatting and chatting with them both, then Yvonne and I ended the night watching Bull!

Wind Down!

OMGG we went to The Brogue Irish Pub and Restaurant and had a scrumptious steak and mushroom pot pie with the ceasar special! Yvonne was making spaghetti and meatballs for supper - yeah right 7:30 and we still weren't hungry.  Finally we settled for finger food!

2019 Tat Days is Done!

So sad, just about all of the tatters have departed! I hate retreat endings, especially the shorter ones! Guess I'll have to make plans to come back again for the Fringe Element Tatters Tat Days! 🤗👍

Last Night at the Fringe!

Last night fun at the Fringe 2019 Tat Days!  Deana being silly and pinking me out!

Tat Days 2019 - Day 2

Decided to take a very short walk outside in the drizzle for a few lovely greenery shots.

Well this morning's class went mucho better after the first crappy blip!  Thank you Kaye Judt!  I'll for sure be using this join in future mixed colour tatting!

My last class Tatted Simple Shell with Lauren Snyder was also very good, I only needed stiffer cotton and I'd have been really pleased!  I also took pictures of my purchases at Mary Maxim plus here at the retreat, along with the Fringe Element Tatters gift bag and a few items Deana my roommate gave me!  Now some of the two raffle bags I  won will be left with Deana to do with as she sees fit!  🤗

Registration goodies bag!

Purchases from vendors here!

A tatted thumb holder for picots guide from Bernice from Calgary.  Thank you!

Deana's gifts for me to tat with!

After supper we reconvened in the meeting room - a mucho smaller group for chatting and tatting!

Toronto Bound!

Sept 25th

It was awesome to get a walk in with Edna before I leave, even if shorter than normal and in the Outlet Mall.  Then we joked about our last supper so went to her #1 place, the Wok Box?

Sept 26th

Well all's ready that I know of for the weeee hours trip to the airport!  Now to bed for a few hours sleep!  Toronto here I come ready or not!

It's too bloody early for me arriving at the airport 3 am and figuring out things myself!  🤣

Yeah slept the flight and arrived 20 minutes early!   Raining here!  Onto new adventures!

Made it to Toronto OK, both Yvonne n John met me and brought me back to their house in Mississauga to rest now.  Yvonne left for TO and will be back 2ish.  I'm glad as I'm wiped and going for a nap.

Yeah I'm here and we celebrated at one of Yvonne's favourite haunts, Erin Mills Pump and Patio.  My quesadillas were the best I've tasted!  Thank you Yvonne and John for lunch etc!

It started off by forgetting my phone and thermos water bottle at Yvonne's, good thing I've the tablet!  Then I noticed I don't have my sunglasses either!  Rita met me early and took me to Mary Maxim in Paris ON through some beautiful countryside and the awesome old buildings!

Well day 1 at the tatting retreat is over and Deanna and I are in the lobby relaxing after the tatting room was closed 9:30ish!  Supper in the restaurant was good but they weren't prepared for 30-40 for same time sitting!  We naturally were late for the evening class!  Tomorrow is another day!

My cluny attempts!  Practise!

Mimi Dillman our cluny teacher, thank you!

Her awesome samples!

Ice Drop Coin class given by Lauren Snyder, lots better result for me, my happy Emojii button on my nametag!

Edna and I walked from IKEA to FortWhyte Alive and back.  Talk about an AWESOME fall day!  But I had to push myself on the walk back and about a km away tweaked my right ankle!  SHOOT!!!  Bad timing!  Thank you Edna for the A&W float!

It was breezy!

And very wet!
Even had "flooding" warnings at Fort Whyte end.

She just does not like me and the camera!

Trees for Janice!

That's the closest the bison were to us ever!
