June 29th

Well it's official!  I'm a SENIOR, in age at least!

And since I've managed fairly decently so far, I've increased my savings monthly deposits plus arranged for monthly loan principal payments to be made too from my AOS!  Would be nice to go on vacation cash next year, that is if Covid-19 takes a royal hike out of this world!!!!

And the following logo best describes me, camera in hand!

Stupid me, stupid me, stupid me! 😖😪😕

I was heading downstairs, walking thankfully or it could have been worse, to switch clothes into the dryer and missed the bottom step and wiped out on all fours till knee, wrist and shoulder gave and I rolled!  Good thing the dogs stayed and didn't think it was play time or I'd still be down, maybe for the count!

I'm OK, bruised ego, skinned knee through my pants and jammed big toe that hurts worse. Probably will feel worse tomorrow or Wednesday! 👍🤗  Guess no walking for exercise for a few days!!!

My Day Continues!!!

May 26th

OH OH OH how true!  Them good old days without them doo gooders to say naught!!!

“I'm normally a social girl
I love to meet my mates
But lately with the virus here
We can't go out the gates.

You see, we are the 'oldies' now
We need to stay inside
If they haven't seen us for a while
They'll think we've upped and died.

They'll never know the things we did
Before we got this old
There wasn't any Facebook
So not everything was told.

We may seem sweet old ladies
Who would never be uncouth
But we grew up in the 60s -
If you only knew the truth!

There was sex and drugs and rock 'n roll
The pill and miniskirts
We smoked, we drank, we partied
And were quite outrageous flirts.

Then we settled down, got married
And turned into someone's mum,
Somebody's wife, then nana,
Who on earth did we become?

We didn't mind the change of pace
Because our lives were full
But to bury us before we're dead
Is like a red rag to a bull!

So here you find me stuck inside
For 4 weeks, maybe more
I finally found myself again
Then I had to close the door!

It didnt really bother me
I'd while away the hour
I'd bake for all the family
But I've got no bloody flour!

Now Netflix is just wonderful
I like a gutsy thriller
I'm swooning over Idris
Or some random sexy killer.

At least I've got a stash of booze
For when I'm being idle
There's wine and whiskey, even gin
If I'm feeling suicidal!

So let's all drink to lockdown
To recovery and health
And hope this bloody virus
Doesn't decimate our wealth.

We'll all get through the crisis
And be back to join our mates
Just hoping I'm not far too wide
To fit through the flaming gates!”

WOW and here's a unique card Michelle made for me and the special notes!  She has incredible artistic talent in card and bookmark making!  One day I'll post all the bookmarks I've gotten from her, nope not used, but on display all over!

Now the card I got from her before, I can send to someone else as I have my very own special card!

WOW after spending the morning working on masks, I spent the afternoon with Eileen in Bruce's awesome handyman gazebo!  Honestly if I had one of these I'd be here spring to fall and no housework done!!!!!!  So thank you Eileen for first taco chips n salsa n wine then the lovely vanilla cake n strawberries with Lady Grey tea!  AWESOME!!!!  AND my first 65th BD card too!

And I'll finish off with this!

Hello Katsu!!!

Feb 1st

Ahhhh it's been soooo long since I've sat with Katsu, but it's like he really does remember me!  Here he is after a ruff n tumble scratchin n stretchin and up onto his favourite perch! Now just to have the weather cooperate and no heavy snow dumps and I'll be A-OK!

Maybe the flyers got dropped off?

High voltage!

Keeping a lookout and watching the birds etc.

Well finished my first outside 3 km walk with Katsu this evening.  First off forgot my left knee brace so it's mildly burning sensation. Then my right sciatic halfway around started paining me so when Katsu stopped to sniff I bent down and stretched!  Now all is aching, Biofreeze to the rescue along with my Tylenol arthritis!  😔
So both of us are resting!  Okay he's spooking me!  Staring at the stairs and even growling? Nope I'm not going to check what's out there! I'm thinking it's rabbits!!!!  (lots of evidence of such)  🤣🤣🤣

Feb 2nd

Ohhhh thank goodness I used Biofreeze before heading out - worked to let me enjoy this mornings awesome 4.13 km 54 minute walk with Katsu picking the route!  The weather is delightful!!!  I didn't want to stop but played it cautiously!

AND it's awesome to see Katsu STILL is active enough and shows his appreciation for his walk!  After drying him off he raced off for his piggy and tore around the living room to crash for a nap.  I'm relaxing with an Nespresso and ohhhhhhh sooooooo nice!

I'm done in!

January 2020 Catch Up Cont'd

Jan 5th

ANGELS ABOUND!!!  💞💞💞  They are a little top heavy in the hand, but once hanging on the tree they are as they should be!  I'm very happy to be starting these well ahead and hopefully finish in time!

Jan 6th

Finally the 52nd weekly block is done!  Next week will be the last block post of 2 bonus ones then I can take a picture of ALL my blocks and start sewing up my shadows and plan out my layout down the road!  Thank you Jackie and CQA for this project.  I've amazed myself by keeping up to date.

And today I stitched up some 67 x 2 sizes of shadow strips for next week's stitching day at Tammy's Studio!

There's a lot in this write up that I've already started to change since I've retired, but still room for more adjustments for setting my life to my liking!  🤗
