Oct 25th n 26th

Oct 25th

Me too!!!!

Oct 26th

Not a rushing start which was great for Sylvia's birthday and I was first up so made the coffee and the phone started ringing! Not sure why but going to put the blueberries back into the fridge I dropoed n scattered them, giving Sylvia a few chuckles! Hopefully a better day ahead for me than the start!

Well I may have forgotten the hand crafted card I usually give Sylvia for her birthday, but I did treat her to Subway for lunch, gerba daisies with a rose and then we shared her favourite Chinese combination plate for supper! Instead of monies for South Beach Casino for fabric/gift spending or gambling where we USED to be this weekend for a quilt retreat. She was tired too as we're clearing and packing/purging stuff out of furniture that's being picked up tomorrow.

Diane and family.

Now back to clearing out stuff from furniture so it's ready for pickup!  Hope we both sleep good after this bending etc!

Oct 23rd n 24th

Oct 23rd

I kinda agree, but still love seeing the creative yard decor!

WOW what a whirlwind few days! But we made it back to Dryden this afternoon to a whole list of calls for house viewing! And from the looks of the news and snow in Winnipeg, guess we got out in time, hardly no snow here. YET!!!!

Glad they said how!!!!!

Oct 24th

I remember doing this in my younger days!

It's looking like Winter or Christmas!!!!!

Okay after more house viewing, we brought in the yard decor and hoses so think that's it for winter care. And I cut out a scrub cap and tatted another angel, two more to do and orders are finished! But gosh darn this crock pot cooking WHILE HOME is going to drive me crazy with the yummy smells!

Catchup - Oct 19th-22nd

 Oct 19th

It was a very easy ride back yesterday with less and less snow visible as we approached Manitoba, highway was dry - that was good. I had a relaxing night and now going to catch up on the few mask orders and cut out the towel tops too. Tomorrow hopefully pull out/photograph my winter and Christmas fabrics, prep linings for mask orders and pack those for Friday's return to Dryden. Yes, I'm taking Sylvia back, prepping a few more radio website classifieds and help pack more for moving and recycle. Hopefully all that will be left is her kitchen and clothes while waiting to see if the house sells! 🙏🙏🙏👍👍👍🤗🤗🤗

Oct 21st

Guess the trying to snow yesterday turned into it's closer to winter than we want it to be yet! I just hope it's not the sticking around type as yet, I've more travelling in store this week!

Sylvia and I were just saying how much we miss the interaction of sewing friends at our quilting retreats this year! And what pops up from memories is South Beach Quilt Retreat frim 2016.  Soon we might have smaller family/friends day retreats in her gathering room once she's moved in, hopefully sooner than later!

Two days and I kinda caught up on my orders, winter/Christmas ones left to plan out yet. But I finished off these for Barb n Pat, Angela n Joan's friends and two special orders from Adele's clients. Now I've printed off my tatting pattern for the December exchange and cutting out the dress towel tops Linda ordered. Also a couple of special masks and scrub cap for Edna. These are for down time back at Sylvia's between packing again! 🤗🤗🤗

Oct 22nd

I can't believe I've let this happen! This baby has been sitting not used for a very long time! I'm probably going to have to read the manual again before starting it up again! SHEESH!!!!

Let's hope this will be a good day!

It was an awesome fall day to gather for a very small family Celebration of Life for Leonard, my brother-in-law! The service was very nice, the girls all did a lovely portrayal of his life and the wonderful powerpoint presentation of his life was a lovely ending to the service! The graveside internment was only for Sylvia and the girls. I was thankful to stay well back during the service and with zoom capabilities I did get a few pictures and afterwards was allowed to step forward to say farewell too! ❣

All the immediate family, except 2 yr old Astro.

Catchup - Oct 12th-17th

Oct 12th

Life's similarities?

Yeah Yeah Yeah!!!! I think I want an Angel tree! I've finally completed all these 9 Christmas and 2 sympathy tatted Angel gifts maybe 3 weeks ago and tonight did the head n halo finishing on 7 of them! The two bottom left ones are with crystals. Now when I get a chance I've a couple of snowflakes and a couple special Angels and that'll be the end of my tatted To Do projects for this year.

Great idea! I've always cautioned anyone approaching a dog I'm sitting to please not come to close especially if they have a dog. I just don't know what the reaction will be! Once I had to get between an agressive dog and my then passive dog with it's owner laughing at me as I crossed the street quickly. I was scared at first as I was sure a fight was starting then I was mad and gave him what for as I retreated, he still laughed! 😬😖😡

Oct 13th

Hmmmm driving back to Dryden was once again a lovely autumn day except for that wind. Did a few errands enroute and chatted to Adeline and happy to hear she's recouping from her hip surgery! Got back to see leaf bags were still out down the street, WAIT, ours are gone and most of the leaves have blown off the boulevard? Hmmmm who picked ours up??? Now relaxing this evening!

Oct 15th

Okay we finished off today posting signs for house, furniture, wooden eagle and large garage items for sale! Even did my first online CKDR classifieds posting with some pictures! Now pray Sylvia gets lots of bites! Slowly but surely this move will happen!

Oct 16th

😖😖😖 Go away, I'm not ready for this just yet!!!!! It's trying real hard but disappearing before touching ground! Even the deer aren't pleased with this change in the weather, huddling down to stay warm!

Look what Sylvia unearthed!!! I remember a visit when it snowed heavy and he came in covered like this picture!!!! He also had a passion for willow furniture and yard decor!

Oct 17th

Bloody !@#$!!!!!!! Never fails every spring or fall I get snow to travel in! But this time it's not deep heavy wet stuff!

Well most of the fancy kitchen glass stuff, wall pictures and decor along with quilted wall hangings are all packed up, ready to load into the car tomorrow.  So today I finished raking up the second fall of leaves, but left the easeway as not enough to start a new bag.  Now Sylvia is going through pictures for Len's Celebration of Life this Thursday (for immediate family due to Covid-19 restrictions).

OHHHH WOW!!!!  Sylvia hollered from the sewing room having counted TEN, YEP TEN, deer grazing!  I only got eight as two walked out of range.  Awesome to see the snow gone!!!

Oct 8th - 12th

 Oct 8th

Yeah tonight I finished off two more mask orders (6 child's and one teen/small) in the nick of time. Now to check once home and see what other orders are left!

Oct 9th

Oct 9th

What a beautiful autumn day for a drive back to Winnipeg! Only saw one eagle flying and a bunny lazily crossing Hwy #1. I did get a picture of the tamaracks changed colour in Ontario but missed the spot near Hadashville corner in Manitoba! Sadly we saw three dead deer! Sylvia got the keys to her apartment, we unloaded some stuff and now relaxing at Pat's!

Oct 10th

Ohhh I can't wait till we can have a painting day (quilting too) whenever she's up to it, not just when I travel out for a week or so!

That was my first virtual memorial service through Facebook and the Beausejour Community Church for Phil Van Bergen's celebration of life! Beautiful and I'm glad I remembered him as everyone said he lived his life! RIP Phil, you deserve it!

Oct 11th

Well another mask order completed, that leaves one more of 5 left from September to catch up on. Then to go through my Christmas fabrics and decide which I'll use for masks and work on three orders on file!

SHEESH people wear your masks in public OR even in your family gatherings - if you must gather!!!!

Be thankful, be happy, but please be safe!
Thank you Colleen for sharing!

I'm still gonna make this hat one day, maybe not to wear, but as a table decoration!!!

Yeah!!!!!! Today I've caught up on my September orders, in the nick of time too! Now when I get back from my second trip to Dryden I'll start on those winter/Christmas mask orders I've noted.

Oct 12th

Three years ago for Len's 80th! So sad! RIP Len!!! ❤❤❤

WOW I didn't think we'd get anymore awesome Autumn days after the past few cool windy ones! Thank you Lord! It's so much more enjoyable for me to be with the crew and enjoy the back deck too, much to Griffin's annoyance cause he wants inside, whimpy boy! And some squirrel has Wheeler's attention, annoyed as all get out that we are out and he can't get to the seeds! Oh boy!

Couldnt see shooting into the sun, just hoped I'd have dogs and sqirrel! Oh well 2 out of three is good!
