Catchup - March 8th-12th

March 8th

This is late but still meaningful!!!

Be healthy, be happy, be strong!!!

I really really LOVE greens and basic colours of  nature!

And today I finished off the binding by machine using a fancy stitch. I love it but have learnt my lesson not to do this again, too time consuming and I may have done something to the machine, will check tomorrow.  Next time I'll stitch two rows of straight stitching, will look just as nice, more even and balanced.  😉

March 9th

It's finished, just needed an outside picture taken by Melissa and then washed and handed into ABC!!!

This one endured a few rippits before all was good!!!

Okay so I've sandwiched a Western Retreat UFO from I think the mid-2000s but again no info and can't find pictures either!  Very not like me, but then with so many camera and computer changes, what do I expect.  All I know this was a stack n whack class for a full sized quilt that I minimized to a table topper or wall hanging.  Also before I learnt the basics of pinning and lining up seams!!!  YIKES!!!!

Anyone by chance from WR recall this class from Sylvan Lake, AB?

March 10th

Awesome "road trip" again!  🥰

I picked up Edna and Sylvia then headed out to Niverville MCC for some treasures then onto OMA's for our MPQ gift card shopping spree!  We still have balances left so another trip one day!  Then into Steinbach for lunch at the Main Bread & Butter Company for yummy soup n sandwich before checking out their MCC too!

Afterwards we drove cross country to Beausejour to drop off my Block-A-Day quilt so Melissa could photograph it for her use.  And naturally we had to stop into Needles Crafts and Studios where I made a large VISA buy for small trinkets and a bit of fabric for borders for my two mini projects.  We finished off with coffee at Tim's and treated us to the Tim's canvass bags which weren't for sale but guess we smiled sweetly!!!  Then back into the city and home!  Beautiful day but my hip was saying enough already!  Now feet up relaxing, maybe some embroidery!

March 11th

Morning!!!!  Hmmm guess the storm has bypassed us or not hit us as forecasted or still to hit us!!!

Anyways the two pairs of baby shoes I picked up at Steinbach's MCC, the ballet slippers fit on my childhood doll, the other pair are too big!  She's not shoeless anymore!!!  Next to sew her a pretty dress and freshen up her hair one day!!!

Too tired yesterday to sew, BUT the disaster on block #38 today, maybe I should have done it yesterday!!!

March 12th

Scrappy but still nature's colours!

WOW, glad to see this notice!  I'll have a road trip out with Edna, Sylvia and Pat after the IGD MPQ meeting finishes after lunch.  We're all looking forward to it!

Thankful Wednesday

Nov 2nd

Awesome!!!!

I totally LOVE this store, Aunt Monica's Attic that will have a booth at this event. Awesome store in Transcona for kids gifts and also for myself for a few adult things especially puzzles! ❣️❣️❣️

So today I visited Sylvia's, trimmed my fleece scarves adding cut ends before matching up, taking pictures and bagging them in sets and individual ones too! Sylvia knitted up 10 pairs of mitts and decided to help out Toy Mountain kids drive at Aunt Monica's Attic.

Mine were sets in exchange for the beautiful music box doll she cleaned and redressed for me - I totally ♥️ her - she's home now!!! AND I got a sneak peak at my last doll (gotta get them named) of the totally new outfit she's getting! OHHH!!!

Then we dropped off the previously washed/dried parkas to the Wpg Fire Dept for their Coats for Kids drive. After that we dropped off all these hats, mitts, scarves and some with socks to Monica before stopping to check out Mission Thrift Store for a few goodies, basic and Christmassy! They now have for November a huge Christmas Store at the basement Banquet Hall next to Dollarama across the mall - awesome arrangement!!!

WOW!!!! This is truly nifty!!!!

Catchup - Oct 13th-23rd

Oct 13th

I saw this on a friend's page and just had to share it! 💞

Hmmmmm I truly hoped this forecast would be wrong too! Wonder how long it'll last? It started sleeting yesterday when Angela and I were off to get my curio cabinet but just briefly. Thankful for that!

Oct 14th

My version of Sweet Mongolian from Wok Box! Yummy!!! Can't decide if it's with fork or spoon!

Oct 15th

YEAH it's on again! Gotta get my Food Bank stash together!

OMGG!!! I swear this is uncomfortable!!!!! My back aches watching Sam turning in this bed! He has one more his size, but nope, picks this one or the couch!

Okay I played with the pattern of Little Winter Snowflake by Robin Perfetti to add beads to it. Beautiful pattern!
So I added the beads for the inner rings and outer points with beads on the rings shuttle thread. The middle beads were added by shuttle joins between the three rings with the second join on the side of the smaller ring or outer side of the bead, allowing the bead to sit next to the larger ring!

With beads!

As per the pattern, without beads.

Oct 16th

Ohhhh this is so CUTE!!!! ❣️❣️❣️
Hopefully someone has tires lying around to set on a dolly to put out when snow is here to stay, then in spring put away? If so please post a picture!

Aaaahhhh the Bernese napping after some FRESH air and BRISK winds! WOW look at these effects! Origin follows.

Hmmmmm I'm trying that FB effects on my doll. WOW!!!!

On my chair at home.

Taunya I found this FB effects and totally love it! So I'm trying a few of your dogs! Then I just screen saved the video in various stages and saved the best. Not sure if I like it as much with their lighter coats than the Bernese.

Oct 17th

OMGG thank you very very much Monica for cleaning up and redressing this beauty for me! She's adorable!!! 💞💞💞

Oct 19th

Got out for another awesome walk with Edna!  Wanted to reach Wellington Ave but only got to Hamilton Ave before giving up.  What's this vine over everything?

Oct 20th

Now here's an easy front door welcoming committee! ❤️❤️❤️

Great idea!

Oct 22nd

Lovely layout for festive gatherings! ✨️
Could be any shape depending on the event!

Thank you Cindy for forwarding this.

Cindy:  Check this out next time you park on John Bruce Rd.

Another good walking day with Edna and Nestor.

Oct 23rd

WOW that wind today made up for the calm we had yesterday!!!! Still a lovely walk to the Forks with Edna and a shared pickeral lunch at Fergies Fish n Chips and a mango passion fruit radler! Yummy!!!

Then back to my place so Edna can choose from my large Christmas stash for her table topper for the 29th's sewing weekend at Sylvia's! I guided her with cutting all her pieces out, so she's set to go.

Now to select my own fabrics and prep them too!
