Catchup - March 10th-22nd, 2026

 March 10th

We enjoyed our shrimp skewers supper and a bit of gambling. Like Florence says we topped the government coffers. Thank you Diane for these tickets, lovely spot row 15 seats 25 n 26!!!

I felt DUH, this was my chance to dress up with my Irish stuff and I wore Jets earrings and red/black instead!!! But it was awesome to see a few with St Patrick’s Day garb on, even this awesome couple beside us (who said not to bother blurring their faces, they didn't mind - thank you). They would have taken the prize if anyone given out, that's for sure!

Ohhhh what a fun and entertaining evening!!! They still can carryon some 30 years or more from when I enjoyed them! I noticed on other deleted videos that there were two youngsters up front dancing through some songs, even entertaining the Rovers too!

We both totally enjoyed this concert, even if there were only two of the original Irish Rovers on stage!!! I even joined in singing two songs, definitely not good but fun!!! Again thank you Diane for the tickets!!!

March 14th

Ohhhh dang it!!! I've a new wireless DeskJet printer bought early December and have spent at least two weeks trying to connect it so I can print! Not happening! My techie is helping with links to fixes but zippo yet. If I can't get it setup I'll go get another USB connection InkJet printer and drop this off at a second hand store! 😤
After our Assiniboine Circle Quilters gathering where I started hand stitching my Oriental quilt binding, I drove Sylvia home and visited finishing off this puzzle. Yes she pulled out another and it's in the shape of a Maple Leaf and talk about crazy pieces!!! Stay tuned for pics!

March 17th

Happy St. Patrick's Day ☘️🍀 to my Irish and otherwise friends and family! We'll I missed dressing in "green - which I've lots of" for the Irish Rovers concert last week. BUT not for today, for my left eye cataract surgery in an hours time! Wonder if they'll let me wear it or not - will see!

Well the second cataract surgery is done for. I pray it just as good if not better than the first. But dang my blood pressure was 218/85 68 and a few minutes again 213/86 64 and afterwards 147/74 63 I think. Thank you Dr Jeremy Levi and the Western Surgical Centre for such excellent care!

March 17th - second surgery - left eye

Jan 26th - first surgery - right eye

March 18th

Well all seems very similar to my right eye except for a couple of floaties at the edges. But nice and clear! YEAH!!!

Thank you Pat for the homemade soup for lunch! Yummy!!! Even some leftover for tomorrow. Then Randy tried entertaining the cat but he was not so inclined. I did go through a few of her quilting magazines and found a few possible projects. Dr. Levi' office called to check on me and I've a followup appointment April 9th. Soon I'll get dropped off at home and can catch up on hockey and curling! And Isa resting in Randy's lap.

March 21st

Well Friday and Saturday Meadowood Quilt Retreat is awesome. Randy drove me to Sylvia's, she is the driver this weekend and I stayed overnight with her too. Feels funny to be driven around but it's given my eye a good time to heal, all is very good, just the hip was a pain!!! Nice to visit with friends and fellow Quilters!

I sewed up 11 - 12.5" potato chip blocks and now it's planning out the twin sized quilt top. Hopefully I can get them sashed before closing down. Will see.

Got it planned out and sashing, cornerstones and borders cut out before supper! We left shortly afterwards and Pat picked me up, taking me home as Sylvia was beat!!!

March 22nd

So I walked the hallway for 20 minutes, or until hip and ankle pained me!
