My Day Cont'd - Part Three

May 26th

I'm just back home from my Hecla Island staycation and look what was waiting for me!!!

1. My purchased fundraiser postcard made by Judy in Ontario, with Monika Kinner's help in addressing and mailing to me!

2. My PFA swap "Party Time" postcard from Debbie Einarson from Gimli MB - LOVELY Birthday celebration too! I love the edging!!!

Hmmmm, I wonder if you are related to Kerry Einarson the curler whom I watch on TV?

Thank you to both ladies!
And all on display with cards too!

May 27th

BD celebrations continued!

Today I treated myself to a 90 minute massage and the car got an oil change and tires checked just to make sure pot holes didn't do any damage?

Then I met Pat and Amanda at Boston Pizza and was surprised to be treated too! Glad they joined me eating up my free brownie n ice cream dessert compliments of BP! Thank you ladies!

May 28th

Awesome!!!

Ohhhh lots ideas here for some imressive wall decor. I especially like the ball shaped wall plant holder, naturally for silks!

What a busy morning/afternoon! Picked up Edna, Sylvia and Pat before zipping over to Canad Inns for OMA's and Quilters Den Pop-Up Store for some goodies. Then took Edna home to check on and shut off her coffee pot before heading out to Keystone Fabrics. After that I had to zip over to the Church for MPQ Library books exchange then onto Southdale Village Restaurant for lunch. Then I dropped the girls off and headed to Polo Park for a bit of continued birthday shopping!

Swarovski for a necklace and angel ornament, Northern Reflections for summer pants and Nespresso for more coffee pods only to find out they closed end of April! Now what do I do??? I'm definitely not a fan for online orders and shipping costs!!!!!!!

Now feet up relaxing and hockey time!!!

The WRAP!!!!

Wide angle view.

Last group shot off our dock with the lighthouse across the bay.

Checking out her walking distance.

My Day! Part One

May 25th

It was awesome to sleep in to 8am without those kids playing chase in their room before 7am. We had homemade apple granola muffins with jam n coffee for breakfast before heading out for our lighthouse walk. I was hoping it was not too long for Sylvia and thankfully just under 3.5km and we went slowly. My ankle and hip were slowing me down and lucky I had the walking stick Len made with me! So here's our so enjoyable walk!

YIKES, there's snow here!

Poor spruce, freezing roots but warm branches!

And more snow but it was solid and held us up!

Looking back after I crossed!

Hmmm who's eggs?

Inside here!

Using my new selfie stick!

The good old memory tree!

Like the window catching the sun!

On our way back now!

Reminds me of an iceberg cracking off!

Diamond willows, good thing Sylvia knows her trees.

View from the Lagoon area.

Lovely walk and Sylvia even picked rocks for her plants!

2:50 it's trying to rain!

What an awesome day returning to enjoy salmon open-faced Brioch buns with leftover chicken finger kale salad and pineapple.

Our healthy enjoyable lunch!

Edna and I are sharing a Steigels grapefruit Radler and stitching outside while Sylvia naps! Awesome so far!

Catchup - May 23rd-24th

May 23rd Cont'd

So we went for a stroll up the dock to check out the fishing!  BRRRR!!!  Then saw this guy getting his boat to shore - WOW!!!  And last two are views from our 4-plex window and deck!

Totally enjoyed our roast beef brioch bunwiches, coleslaw and fruit for supper!  Gonna play Yahtzee soon (glad Sylvia brought it)!

May 24th

Well except for the two kids next door that run around with shoes on around 7am to bedtime (except when out - I've asked once to please stop) so far it's lovely here.

After our cereal breakfast, we went for a stroll to the North Point to see the stand of birch trees! Then the roadway back. Breezy but nice walk even if I forgot to put my tracker on at the beginning.

My they shrank or I exploded.

Beautiful.

I think Deer Island.

Pushy willows in full bloom ready to fall off.

WOW!!!

Back to the 4-plex.

Red is the non-tracker part along shoreline estimated.

We enjoyed an awesome chicken taco salad lunch and went for a drive to Hecla South Shore Subdivision where we saw various sizes and shapes of newer houses.

Hecla Village.

South Shore Subdivision spotter!

Then took a drive to Hecla North Shore Subdivision where we saw some impressively large sized homes and lots even with fenced gardens.

North Shore Subdivision guests.

Then a drive through the 6 camper bays with maybe 30 campers but more empty campsites.

We saw choppy waves, ice accumulations, eagles, deer and cormorants/crowducks today. But more importantly I think I found the Marsh that I remember from 30+ years ago Camera Club outing, maybe next year we'll finally revisit it and see if it's what I recall?

Back to the Marina in the rain!

Talk about calm waters! The wind totally die down and the temperature climbed!

Lovely picture!

YUMMY!!!! Gull Harbour Marina for supper tonight! YUMMY!!!!

My fish n chips, Sylvia and Edna chicken fingers, ceasar salad n fries.

Vinetarte dressed up, was better plain, shared.

Evening, ice coming from the Marina to our shore and the dock beacon caught my eye!
