Churchill - Day 5 Contd

Tour #4 - Beluga Whales and Prince of Wales Fort Tour

Well we went and the whales trip was awesome but no polar bears along the shoreline.  The first trip went straight to the Fort and we waited for the return and we were off to Beluga whale watching.  After an hour we switched.  BUT the Captain, without official uniform here, was quite chatty and once he got us to an awesome area where a huge pod of belugas romped, he put down some sonic antennae thingy and we heard beautiful whale communication!  AND dummy here listened intently to it but didn't RECORD!!!!!  All was good but I did start feeling uncomfortable and when he kicked it into high gear to the Fort where I really was getting sore and hard to walk back to the boat.

I warn you this is only 1/4 of the pictures I took of whale watching, 3/4s I deleted!!!

They're off!

Coming to get us now!

That sky looks ominous!

They came close but too fast for me and my camera!!!

6 here, smaller grey ones are the young.

Blowing here but missed the one tail flipping shot!

They sure churn up the water!

Not sure if this happens when they blow or go down!
