And here is the new motif I've tried with my newest shuttles! Now I think I'm too tight in making my stitches so that's why it does not look like the Palmetto Tree with Optional Saw Grass (2000 Palmetto Tatters Guild pattern) on the pattern sheet. I'm going to have to try this again and loosen my tension and see if it will look more pointy fronds than my rounded ones.

Oh my goodness your work is stunning..so clever.. Where did you purchase your shuttles?
I also love the pastel Clovers! Is it my imagination, or are they really smoother than the other Clovers? Maybe the soft color helps.
I love your Palmetto Tree with Saw Grass. It's very nicely done, and it brings nice warm thoughts on this chilly winter morning.
I think it's great.
Your colors here look great. The trick to getting the fronds to be pointy is in a note in the pattern: "Before Closing, using the picot as a "hinge," roll shorter side to the inside and pull closed" Like a folded ring. I usually do this while closing a ring, but you could try easing it into position now and see if it will work.
So pretty! Nice selection of colors to.
I love your tree and saw grass. What wonderful items you tat. I have been trying to learn to needle tat. Debbie S.
Thank you all for the compliments.
My shuttles are purchased either locally, by friends abroad, or online ordered through Georgia S (please email me for the contact).
