My Day Continues!!!

May 26th

OH OH OH how true!  Them good old days without them doo gooders to say naught!!!

“I'm normally a social girl

But lately with the virus here

If they haven't seen us for a while

There was sex and drugs and rock 'n roll
The pill and miniskirts

Then we settled down, got married
And turned into someone's mum,
Somebody's wife, then nana,
Who on earth did we become?

We didn't mind the change of pace
Because our lives were full
But to bury us before we're dead
Is like a red rag to a bull!

So here you find me stuck inside
For 4 weeks, maybe more
I finally found myself again
Then I had to close the door!

It didnt really bother me
I'd while away the hour
I'd bake for all the family
But I've got no bloody flour!

Now Netflix is just wonderful
I like a gutsy thriller
I'm swooning over Idris
Or some random sexy killer.

At least I've got a stash of booze
For when I'm being idle
There's wine and whiskey, even gin
If I'm feeling suicidal!

So let's all drink to lockdown
To recovery and health
And hope this bloody virus
Doesn't decimate our wealth.

We'll all get through the crisis
And be back to join our mates
Just hoping I'm not far too wide
To fit through the flaming gates!”

WOW and here's a unique card Michelle made for me and the special notes!  She has incredible artistic talent in card and bookmark making!  One day I'll post all the bookmarks I've gotten from her, nope not used, but on display all over!

Now the card I got from her before, I can send to someone else as I have my very own special card!

WOW after spending the morning working on masks, I spent the afternoon with Eileen in Bruce's awesome handyman gazebo!  Honestly if I had one of these I'd be here spring to fall and no housework done!!!!!!  So thank you Eileen for first taco chips n salsa n wine then the lovely vanilla cake n strawberries with Lady Grey tea!  AWESOME!!!!  AND my first 65th BD card too!

May 25th

A beautifil day for a walk and outdoor lunch with Edna!

Well I've just sat down 10:30 pm and thought I should post since I've not yet seen anything on FB yet today.  I posted earlier I was at the Forks with Edna, then went to visit Angela on her back patio which continued to supper and then continued for after supper visit on the front deck, getting home 8ish.  Only to find a fire inspection tomorrow afternoon so spent 2 hours madly getting recycling, some garbage out the door and tidying a bit too!  So now will check my messages!

WOW WOW WOW that's a lot of Birthday wishes to go through on FB, emails, texts and a number of calls too!  Thank you everyone for the kind words and some photos to reflect on!  I had a lovely day!  The weather cooperated too!  Again thank you!  💞💞💞

OK enough tidying up and some cleaning.  I also cleaned off part of my small kitchen table and found a $10 bill and a $5 off coupon for Boston Pizza!  YEAH!!!  Edna and I made plans the other day to walk to St James n Ness restaurant on the weekend - awesome treat! Now to visit Pat n Randy for the afternoon.

I am very pleased with Artisanthropy of Whitby Ontario for the prompt service on my order.  Much appreciated.  I'm using the new shuttles, some getting used to after my tatting with the smaller Clover shuttles that I love their fit!  Artisanthropy

Looks beautiful outside!  Going for a short walk then finishing off these ten ordered masks, that is if the water is turned on again!!!

Definitely does butttttttt will they get the message?

OKAY after busting yet another needle sewing up masks I decided to open it up and vacuum it out good!  WOW what a mess and I was doing a quick cleaning weekly but guess that was not enough.  Will see how long this lasts!

I don't have a patio or garden, but my friends and family do!

This is what I've accomplished since Wednesday off and on alongwith walking, shopping and relaxing - a few orders, large and medium extras with matching mask buddies for A1 Nutrition.  So tonight sewing on buttons to the buddies and then tomorrow washing and packaging up before delivering.  AND this is what's left of my Amazon order of 40 metres of corded elastic.  Good thing I've ordered more and hopefully slightly thinner than this one.  Guess I'll be picking up some braided elastic from Fabricland tomorrow.

It was lovely to just veg out after delivering three different batches of masks/buddies alongwith my recycling and some shopping.  It was nice chatting to Ruth and then seeing Linda in Dollarama too!  Tomorrow is total vegging out and maybe a walk from Edna's to McDs for coffee and back!  Awesome!!!

WOW!!!  Years ago when I donated blood every three months I was told that I'm around the 7% level of individuals with this blood type AB+. Was encouraged to continue, until health and their guidelines changed.  ☹☹☹

I really appreciate my love of various hobbies that help keep me grounded through life. Today I've taken a break from masks and tatted up one of the many requested angels. This time using Lizbeth size 20, colour 325, Gem Stone using white pearls!  Unfortunately I made a slight mistake so this one will be my own decoration!  😉🤗😍

Well my elastic order arrived Wednesday evening, not exactly what I thought I was getting, but doable I think.  So yesterday was a mad day to get both A1 Nutrition masks completed and delivered supposedly noonish, but apartment living interfered some. 

Then back home to finish off Chez Adele's order and my hair appointment.  Then I did nothing that evening.

Oooohhhhhh I'm so happy to see the Canada duvet cover (I'd made for her) on the bed and Bubba too!  It was a lovely surprise from Taunya this morning!  💞💞💞

Taunya said, "It was a pose picture just for you on an awesome background 🤩💞 Bearly had it on for a chilly night.... wowzha WARMness!! The wool batting will keep you warm (hot) - amazing, I loved it 🤗😁  And looks so AMAZING!!  🤩🤩"

I swear these masks are gonna do me in!!!!   😢 It's bad enough my fingers are dodging the hot iron or the hot steam but now it's my abdomen!  Yeppers and so bad it's red and blistered and 2 hours later still stinging even with an ice pack strapped on!  SHEESH!!!!  I'm having a drink and feet up!!!

May 18th

Things have definitely calmed down overnight and the blister shrunk but tender.  All is good today!  And I love my new do!  It feels AWESOME and fast easy care again!

OMGG it was frightening at first but awesomes afterwards!  😍  See our two cars just turned the corner, approaching train tracks and the car ahead stopped dead, no flashing lights so I wondered what the heck!!!  Then there was a goose waddling past the car, then 8 fluffy yellow tiny goslings, then another adult goose! No I didnt stop to get a picture.  🤔  My first sighting of the year!  Guess I better keep an eye out and beware!

Well I accomplished sewing up 13 more masks for orders and even pleated them without even a finger burn this time!  Yesterday's burn has blistered and will keep an eye on it alongwith triple action polysporin.  Now it's feet up and relaxing!  Tomorrow is my first Chiro appointment since February, can't wait, long overdue!

Okay this is the first time I've NOT taken pictures of ordered finished masks AND four were of sample fabrics, so gonners now!  DUH ME!!!  Oh well lucky me I'd taken pictures of the whole group sewn this morning for her to choose from so I kinda have mask pictures for the record.  🙄  I was very lucky Adele and family gave me the package of elastic to complete her order.  Now onto sewing the remainig stash of cut out ones waiting for my elastic to be delivered, it arrived in Canada May 4th, so what's the hold up!!!!!

What a beautiful day!  After the flyover I picked Edna up and we parked at IKEA and walked into Fort Whyte.  This was the first time the bison were so close to get some pictures! We took a breather at the centre where we found out that if you walk or cycle in off either trail, then it's free admission to the centre and grounds.  So next time we're going to check out Mook Fabrics on Mcgillivray Blvd and walk in from the south trail, maybe even have lunch there if the restaurant is open! 

Then we drove over to the Wok Box to pick up our lunches with our fortune cookie freebie double protein offer - we were salivating 😋 thinking of our shrimp stirfry lunch before rushing off to do many errands!  WELL what a disappointment to open our boxes and find double chicken, not shrimp inside!  I went back to let her know and she said I said chicken, I said I am positive not as we ALWAYS order shrimp and nothing else.  She offered to make us another meal with shrimp but not doubled up and since we were in a rush she offered our next meals free.  I accepted and rushed back out to get things done.  Chicken was still an awesome stirfry!

After dropping off Edna at home I again scoured Dollarama for long ponytail elastics - ZIPPA, NADA, NOT A ONE!!!!  And after getting home still no delivered elastic order!  Where the heck is it sitting in CANADA since May 4th????  Aggravating!!!!!

YOWSERS, what a difference from yesterday's beautiful sunny conditions (even a reddish glow on my face)!  It even feels miserable in my usually overly warm apartment!

Ohhhh boy talk about a jam packed day and this rainy weather is playing havoc with my head!!!!  But hearty thanks to Joan/Angela and Jeanette I have a large selection of buttons for my mask buddies AND also yesterday Jeanette found some narrow elastics and today I finished off 2 of my 4 standing orders.  Friends are so appreciated!!!

Then I continued sewing up masks for A1 Nutrition and to my surprise my ordered elastic has arrived, delivered to a wrong apartment and was turned over to the caretaker who gave it to me this evening!!!  So I'm madly trying to sew up what I can! Hopefully tomorrow afternoon I can deliver them!
