July 20th
Well I call it quits on quilting this child's quilt for tonight. The last two borders need some marking and practicing free motion joined stars. I like it very much.
July 21st
And that's enough quilting today on two kids quilts. I raised my chair and it was a lot easier to quilt! I marked the yellow border on the Bear's quilt then the inside hexies and all around the outer hexies on the Raggedys' quilt. Tomorrow I'll try free motion stars on the Bear's outer border and around each Raggedy Ann and Andy and something in the outer border too! Now feet up and relaxing rest of the evening!!!
I can't just relax can I! ð No!!! ðĨī I've borrowed String Fling by Bonnie K. Hunter from the MPQ library and planned out my next mini!!! I decided to do Pineapple Crazy but not the 5.5" foundation paper size. NO, I reduced it to 3.5" foundation paper size and naturally won't go the number of blocks down and across either. Will see as I sew them up! Stay tuned on posts of my next mini madness, but probably not start till September! ð

Awesome idea! Would like to see more around here too, we have lovely summers for such an activity!
Never heard of this before! ðĪ Gonna have to test it our one day!
Okay here goes me FMQing on the Raggedys quilt after these two practice pieces! I honestly have to LEARN to breathe while doing this and not holding my breath til finished!!! ðĩðŦðĪŠð
I've been going through this in my home off and on! I've collected what I have and yes there are memories attached, even fabric I've bought on vacations that are hard to cut into! I know I have to do this but lots of deliberation and sometimes just not possible yet.
Hey it's finally cooling off in here! Today was the first time in weeks that it's below 80F and even reached 75F. A definite first and the living room is just about all coolish!!!!
Finally after a week of my negative CV tests and Edna was negative once again on Thursday, Happy Birthday, we got together! It was so lovely a walk in the Wolseley area and cinnamon buns from Tall Grass Prairie but while sitting in the park enjoying our coffee the sun was hiding and it got quite coolish! My kind of weather to enjoy!
I pray it does not rain on Steff Sochan and Dave's wedding day in Grandview! I was very sorry/dissapointed/worried to not be there to celebrate with them but my close contact with CV had me staying away, even from Edna and Sylvia! ENJOY and Congratulations!!! ððĨðķ Hopefully see you in the fall for sure!
Yeah one kid's quilt completed today. Even attached the binding by machine with a star or flower type stitch. I just love having the loveseat for picture taking more than the bed! Hopefully tomorrow I'll finish the binding on the other kid's quilts.
"It’s called the long goodbye. Rapidly shrinking brain is how a doctor described it. As the patient's brain slowly dies, they change physically and eventually forget who their loved ones are and become less themselves.
Patients can eventually become bedridden, unable to move and unable to eat or drink or talk to their loved ones.
There will be people who will scroll by this message because Dementia or Alzheimer's has not touched them. They may not know what it's like to have a loved one who has fought or is fighting a battle against Dementia or Alzheimer's.
We too have lived with family and friends who have had one of these diseases. You watch them disappear from us over time, long before death. How true, here but not actually here!"
And now this one too is finished ready for washing and ABC drop off this week! The Raggedys, the two pillow panels and the blue with red dots are all fabrics donated from my friend's Mom, Joan T. So two more from that large stash completed!
Perfect for Steff n Dave's outdoor bar?
Finally after my contact with a friend testing Covid +, MY quiet week has gone by and I'm negative! YEAH! Now is this a summer cold or allergies or sinus infection that is bugging me since morning! Damn I've one week before we're off to explore Churchill's beauty and adventures!

Yabba dabba doo!!! I did get the kids quilts washed, measured and delivered to Lee for ABC quilts today. From me:
1. Bears 35.5 x 48.5 inches
2. Raggedy Ann & Andy 45 x 45.5 inches
From Sylvia:
1. Elephant Border 37.75 x 43 inches
2. Sweet Dreams 31.75 x 40 inches
But I totally forgot the first attempt of a wheelchair cover at Sylvia's, guess that'll be in the next drop off.
And talk about an awesome surprise too! See Michelle from Thompson texted me in regards to my info request for the Thompson visit. So a few texts later she mentions she's in Wpg on her way back home! WHAT???
So I promptly found out where she was, so close to St Vital where I was at the time, and picked her up for Tim's and a lovely get acquainted visit! We even figured out possible Thompson visiting plans, depending on the buses city tour plans, which Sylvia and I aren't so keen on, which may be repeated on the return trip. Awesome!!!
