Yesterday was for Jan!

Happy Birthday Janice - it's an awesome turnout of family and friends!

Janice, look it's starting!  Can't wait for supper!!!  Hope there'll be a piece for everyone!!!

Ready for baking!

All baked!

In cream sauce ready for reheating at the party!

Happy 60th!

Daughter-in-law Natalka!

Singing Happy Birthday to Jan!
Not sure why both glasses of wine!

A special song with younger son on guitar for Jan and granddaughter dance interpreting!

One of her sons and family, Luka playing.

Some work friends:  Barb Bednarski, me, Bob McKenzie and his wife, Monika Franz-Lien and Jeff and Murray Flaten.   Also Randy Ozunko showed up later too!  Photo by Natalka.

OK, before the supper began I supposedly ran out to Dollarama a few blocks away to get some utensils.  Long story short is I went 9 blocks the wrong way on foot, backtracked by bus passing the Legion, found the store, got turned around and headed the opposite way - like 15 blocks towards downtown.  Stopped as I was stressed, realized I was lost, it was dark and called Natalka for direction, instead she rescued me.  All I should have done was TAKE the car OR while walking find the GOOGLE instructions instead of assuming I knew where I was going!!!  All turned out OK!!!!

2018 Holiday Train

It was a lovely evening starting with various appetizers and wine followed with an awesome delicious spaghetti supper, coffee with Russian and German cookies and Icelandic vinetarte before heading to the Holiday Train!  Thank you to Janice and Marilyn for our combined food and company.  OMGG this was the FIRST time I forgot my phone/camera back at Janice's - so none of my own photos.  Thank you Janice for these lifesaver pictures for me!  And a few from Linda who was not far from us in the crowd but missed seeing!  Thank you both for the pics!

Christkindle Market - Fort Gary Mall

Well it's small but sure loved the music centered in the mall and also the miniature train display - made a small donation to them!  As for the vendors some were the same as I saw at CanadInns with Colleen but there were a couple different that I wished I had excess funds to enjoy - not that I need more!!!  Also bought some German gingerbread cookies I love too!  ðŸ™„  Nice day for a short walk to the Forks also.

Would have loved to stay and listen more but too crowded for my liking.

These crocheted dresses were huge but beautifully made by the lady in green!

These paintings are on saw blades painted black by this young woman.

Here are my purchases - some are gifts.

These are MINE, made in Germany!!!!  But sold locally and come in four different sizes, mine is the smallest.

Christmas Craft Day

OKAY, I know I'm 3 months behind in blogging, sorry about my tardiness on such!  I'll try and catch up soon!  Hopefully with today's lovely crafting fun I can lose my moodiness to keep going forward!

Thank you so much Eileen and Bruce for the lovely day of visiting in your lovely Christmassy home and our ornament crafting and my new ornament - looks great on my Woodsman Santa!  It was just so relaxing having a glass of wine in your living room too!  Thank you Bruce for taking our picture!  Hopefully all works out for another visit next week to assemble your homework pieces into a new ornament for your tree!

Catchup - Aug 18th & 19th

Aug 18th

WOW this weekend is family jam packed along with some sewing with the Aurora quilters.  Just finished supper with Florence at Olive Garden and then over to feed the "Crew"!  Now all are content - me too!
Jake is trying to play or get cuddles from Wheeler but not happening as Wheeler just walks away no matter the cries Jake makes!  LOL!!!

Aug 19th

OK so I just finished gift wrapping these goodies and all set for my great niece's, Amanda's, baby shower tomorrow.   I made my usual large hooded bath towel with matching hand towel and 5 face cloths (folded and chenille wrapped into butterflies). Then I found some toweling with two matching bibs from previous gifts, so I prepped them as it was similar to the new toweling.  This morning I managed to launder them to freshen all up.  On one of my trips to my friend in Transcona, Aunt Monica's Attic, I found this practical but fun tub Pop Up Teddy Shower Buddy and at Rexall the duck tub toys!  Yep all set!!!!!

What a lovely afternoon with family and friends and talk about some awesome gifts for one lucky baby boy!

Bomber baby?

Stepmother Susanne, mother in law Brenda, Amanda, mom Pat, grandmothers Sylvia and Edith

Sylvia's stitchers quilt fir their first great-grandchild.

Checking out my gift - butterfly folded facecloths.

Matching hooded bath towel

Interesting box - hmmmm!

More hamming up - but from the older set!

And Edith guessed the closest number of jelly beans in the baby bottle and won the basket!

And this is what I chased down Pembina Hwy trying to get ahead to take a picture - but the puddlejumper was in one mighty hurry!

Forgot to get a picture with Amanda etc so another selfie!

I just LOVE this photo taken by Justin - thank you Diane for posting!
