July 16th - Vancouver - Granville Island
So after Moxie's awesome breakfast, we walked to Granville Street and caught the bus to Granville Island. What a nifty place - tourists and locals shopping here! We found the Cloth Shop and found some quilty stuff but the silk or needlework shops I found too pricy and not as interesting as the fabric place. We walked around, got cold beverages and headed to the ferry taxis dock for a paddle back that way!
NICE
except the young chap saw I was unsteady on my sticks and promptly increased
the rocking until I nearly fell. NOT
NICE!!! I didn't even notice this as I
was concentrating on not falling but Rod said he was watching and saw the chaps
antics! The trip was very nice and lots
cooler than streetwise. Then we got off
at BC Lions stadium wand walked the shirt distance back to our hotel!
"The predominance of glass in many high rises in Downtown Vancouver has led to the city's moniker "City of Glass" and "See Through City"."
Leanne and Rod went up to rest, I went to the Shark Club for a ceasar and snacks and catchup on my journal till supper.
