July 14th - Rocky Mountaineer - Part 10

July 14th - Rocky Mountaineer - Part 10

Near Chilliwack we're seeing some foggy scenes and onto a single track so speeding along to Mission then slow down again. Not to my liking, stomach likes slower speeds. It's POURING!!!

Lots of fertile land and dairy cows in barns etc. Reached Mission, rain stopped and sun out. Dreary day but not much of mountains, more farming and dairies in this valley. Some fruit and grape growing too.

Now into Vancouver and lots of bridges plus a new one being built. Even separate ones for the automated Sky Train - at first they had to put dummy operators on for people to use it! Also a beautifully engineered spiral similar to our St Boniface walkway bridge.

Got to our hotel, checked in and then around the corner to an Italian Restaurant for supper. Then back to the room to relax for an early wakeup and 8am pickup to ferry to Victoria.

An orange tent set up across the river.
