July 14th - Rocky Mountaineer Adventure - #9
Finally windows cleared enough for a pic of the train on a curve! AND more bald eagle sightings now!
The cloud cover is trying to break up some 10:30ish. Ceasar cocktail time!
Whitewater rafting here with 3-5 levels (6 is max) even with whitecaps on a RIVER! Lots here. Even a rock formation looking like a FROG leaping out of the water.
Soon we're joining the muddy Fraser River on the right and nice clear blue Thompson River on the left. WOW!!!
The canyon and bridge is Cisco Crossing.
Lunch was delicious - had the special of pork tenderloin with smashed yams, green beans and red peppers and dessert again the lemon lavender posset, Leanne had the cookie. I'm stuffed!
I bought myself the Rocky Mountaineer postcard set (half the Banff route and the rest the Jasper route) and a baseball cap. I've put my gifted pin on it too.
