Summer 2021

WOW!!!

Aug 16th

Well we made it here with a stop at Selkirk at Mama Bears Quilt shop, Winnipeg Beach for egg salad sandwiches compliments of Edna. Then onto Riverton hoping for a quick peak at the Fabric Snob but no dicerooie, CLOSED! Ohhhhh forgot that we saw a mama bear and three really small cubs that tumbled over each other as mama turned around and back into the ditch instead of crossing in front of us. Didn't get the camera out in time but Edna saw them too! So onto Hecla Village before checking in at the Marina cabins. Only to find out the Marina Restaurant is closed for supper and breakfast for a private function. So guess it's Lakeview Seagulls for supper and we brought breakfast with us. 🏘⛵⚓

Oakie dokie we're off to Lakeview Hecla Seagulls restaurant for pan seared pickeral with a side of shrimp.  Then a little walkabout the marsh to the beach before heading back to the Marina.  Hey does anyone know what the red plant is and then this prickly green plant?

What a beautiful evening, it say 26C feels like 29C - I think the weather report is screwie, feels maybe 22C.  Walked the pier and talked to a couple fisherman before setting a spell on chairs at the waters edge, listening to the water, gulls and people around us!  So peaceful!

From the Marina.

Young screaming for food chasing the parent.

Ceasar time!

Yummy!!!

?????

Water is LOW!!!

There's the Marina!

Aug 17th

What a beautiful morning!!!! We were up 8ish, had cereal-coffee-shared muffin before heading around the Noth Point, Sunset Beach and through the campground hoping to make the viewing blind at the marsh of West Quarry. Apparently it's like 6 kms from the furthest Point of the campground and we'd already covered 8 kms and still maybe 2-3 kms to go yet to the Quarry. So we said bye to the friendly couple and turned back. Once back at our room, we shared a Steigl grapefruit Radler before freshening up for a bacon tomato cheese sandwich lunch!

YIKES, that's a long drop to the beach!
