Catchup - March 1st-9t

March 1st

Ohhhhh not a good day, very very achy once home again! I joined Edna and Sylvia for lunch then ran a couple errands (didn't get two done) before aches over whelmed me. The Crew were very good and I looked after them first before unloading and then fed them too! Now feet up, after Tylenol and a rub down! Waiting for frozen pizza to bake as I'm not up to standing to prep anything! UGH!!!

I want to crawl into bed and sleep till morning!!! 😑 Better yet till I feel no aches!!!

March 2nd

YEAH!!!  Yesterday I found another piece of the white on white tiny leaves and finished off that edge.  Then today I figured out the next border but had to add cornerstones as the length was not enough for the longer edge.  And last I added the blue/purple outer border which measures 27.5" finished, BUT, not sure I like it that wide, would be 4" outer border .  I'm thinking of cutting off an inch all around making jelly bean border 2" and this blue/purple would be 3" finished for a finished size of 36.5" square.  OR should I leave it as is as I'm kinda tired of this one already?  Another soon to be finished UFO from previous quilt cut offs.

March 3rd

HHHMMMMM I cancelled my weekend plans because of the various types of media alerts being sent out on this so called Colorado storm acoming! Absolutely zippo of the extreme predicted, just a sparse dusting of snow! Not sure if it'll rain yet today though!

But dang it, I shouldn't check out Canada Fabric Frugal Destash site when feeling crappy! Just spent more money!!!

Okay!!! Onto some creativity!!! The PFA swap postcard theme this month is scraps! So I've chosen some, might change if needed! Wonder what it'll grow up to be???

March 4th

Well I can't finish off my PFA swap postcard as I need some other supplies so I'm onto my next UFO ABC NICU quilt top! YES these are 2.5" triangle cutoffs from a previous project. Will be 2" HSTs, so slightly bigger sized. 😉

I swear the neighbour enjoys using his toys!!! But heck I'm very thankful I don't have to worry about it!

March 5th

A good day sewing even with hip pain and the dogs in and out etc! See my next NICU coverlet will be using the cut off triangles and stash to make up this Stella block, but this is as far as I've got as I need to scrounge up more of the red fabric from my stash! Plus I'm pooped!!! The pattern I think is for 3" finished blocks, but my Scrappy HSTs sewed up to 2" squares unfinished, so slightly smaller than the 12" finished block. So close to assembly, but not!!!

Ohhh how beautiful and sunny out, even for Lexi. Unfortunately the neighbour's cat decided to climb their tree at the back fence. What a ruckus for 10-15 minutes and followed along the fence all the way back home for the cat. They didn't listen to me at all! Dang I wish I had my phone with me!!!

March 6th

I'm so glad I went into the city this morning for my appointment, then lunch with Sylvia before stopping into the apartment before heading back out. 1:30ish zippo snow downtown and hitting Regent it was like sleeting and Birds Hill Park area a steady snowfall 2:30ish. So whatever is coming in this time forecast seems to be right!

Good thing I picked up more sugar-free coffee creamer and yummy fresh cinnamon buns for coffee and feet up watching curling!

Ohhhh boy what 2 hours can churn out! Bare deck 2:30ish to 4:30ish darn near whiteout!!! I think I'll go out 9ish and clear the deck to reduce tomorrow's shoveling!

March 6th

WOW!!! I'd say since 2:30 there is a good 4" in the yard, light fluffy stuff. Definitely towelling off the dogs!!! And by the time I cleared the deck I was soaked through my cheapo jacket with a number of wet patches on my top, dry off and changed into my sweatshirt to warm up! Guess I'll wear my dress parka!

March 7th

UPDATE: sewn together measuring 8" unfinished instead of pattern 10" size.

Here's my free "Stella" block, another UFO in progress, from left overs and I've more of the green words fabric than the green with red flowers for sashings, if needed, and borders. Yellow HSTs are different directions as I can't find more the other day. This will be another NICU coverlet.

Be healthy, be happy, be strong!

March 9th

Well guess I truly saw two Canada Geese fly over when driving on Wednesday, but I thought I was seeing things. Well today while out with Sylvia, sure enough she and I saw two geese walking on snow on the boulevard. Crazy!!! There isn't even open water anywhere!!!
