Quilt Raffle Anyone???

Hi there! The Assiniboine Circle Quilters will not be having their previously held quilt shows as the major fundraiser. Since this is the Club's 30th Anniversary they decided on this raffle (two lovely quilts as prizes) to help provide fundraising for various club expenses. Tickets and monies need to be in on Nov 29th as the draw is Dec 13th, 2025. Much appreciated.

If you are interested in buying a $2 ticket(s) from me, please email, call or text me and with your payment I'll send you a picture of your ticket filled out. Thank you so much.

Well it's been a very long journey for these snowflakes started in July, Star 1 found in Laura Zuiukiewicz's book "Tatting Christmas Decorations", a lovely pattern but very time consuming in three rounds! Size 20 Lizbeth and measured around 4.5 inches, larger than I thought. What with vacation time, health issues and various commitments they were finished yesterday and today starched. Will check tomorrow if this first brush on is good or if they need another coat tomorrow. That's the first batch, onto the next set. Sorry for the board, will have to find something to cover the designs for next time.

Well today at my quilt gathering I started sewing up my 9.5" unfinished I Spy blocks into a child's quilt top. I've yet to add on the red or blue border and that'll be 12 of the 72 blocks used up. Plans for four shadow boxed like slightly larger tops to come from the remaining ones. Then I was also sewing up potato chip blocks and you know I barely made a dent in that novelty fabrics bin, but it closes better now.

Finally they are complete and kinda overwhelming my tiny display tree. Star 1 found in Laura Bziukiewicz's book "Tatting Christmas Decorations", a lovely pattern but very time consuming in three rounds! Size 20 Lizbeth and measured around 4.5 inches, larger than I thought.

Catchup. - Nov 1st-9th

Nov 1st

 Nov 2nd

After numerous Dr appointments over the past three years, about my sporadic pain and an xray pointing to a couple compressed vertebrae, sciatic and lots of arthritis, was basically told to find nonsurgical solutions. Prior to my vacation I was referred to a sports Dr and hopefully a cortisone shot, but not in time to relieve painful movements. Finally July 30th I had a consultation and was told no shot in the hip as the pain stems from my lower back and requested an MRI. On Thursday I had a call from Boundary Trails for a Sunday 2pm MRI.

I pray some kind of solution results from this. Yes I've done physio and it helps but it's not a fix and I don't care to rely on meds and rubs daily. Some days I'm not even sewing!!!

Oooohhhhh I'd like to make this on a smaller scale though!!!

DAMN, DAMN, DAMN!!!! 😪

It's been FIVE days without hot water!!! There better be some when I get home from my Craft Sale so I can soak these sore old bones!!!!

We're set up! Ready to welcome whomever ventures to visit this Craft Sale.

Yeah after 5 days we now have HOT water! BUT watch it as it's steaming HOT - ridiculous. I feel bad for those with children as it scalding hot.
