My CRV and I are Both Sick!

I just got a call from the autobody shop this morning and talk about a bubble buster! Apparently there is lots of 'internal' damage and the estimate was submitted to MPI for $12,400 - way more than I paid for the car - and is it really fixable and safe to drive? Now the shop is waiting for MPI's approval or not!
