Post Christmas 2015

Well finally Sooty cooperated and let me take a few pictures, I'd say reluctantly, and on FB I could not resist verbalizing my thoughts of his "reluctance" of my pestering!  LOL!
"OK here I am, be quick about it!"
"Oh pulease leave me be already!"
"When are you going to feed us, we're good, not begging!"
Don't worry they just got fed at 8ish and the got a few treats 10ish before I sat down to my breakfast.

Finally I got a picture of the custom dressy kitchen towels Linda wanted.

Christmas Morning

Nice and quiet just have the cat feeding schedule to watch and later to get ready to go to my niece's for supper.  Relaxing in my new Christmas lights lounging outfit and trying to get pics with the cats.  Sooty no dice, but Wall-e I caught in his bed with chin scratches!  And one of the awesome gifts from Linda and another with her Snow family!  I'm getting better with this selfie stick!!!

Enjoy Your Christmas

Up early this normal winter morning to send off Linda & Patrick in a stretch limo to pick up her son Jonathan and Kim then to the airport bound for Montreal to spend Christmas with her daughter Valerie and other family.
And I get to stay in their beautifully decorated home along with Sooty and Wall-e!

Merry Christmas & a Joyous New Year

Here's wishing all my family and friends a very Merry Christmas and a joyous New Year!   May most or all of your hopes and dreams happen and be treasured memories for years to come.  HUGS to all!!!  From me and my many borrowed friends.

Post Australia/NZ Trials Settled!

OK finally resolutions to all my post Australia /NZ trip.

1. Was without my TV for 10 days but did get a new PVR free and then was watching my sports again.

 2. Health issues abroad have been reviewed by my travel health insurer and a cheque is in the mail, good news, without aggravation.

 3. For the past 3 months Rogers Wireless bills could not be paid online through my bank account, they kept saying I was selecting Rogers Cable not Wireless or typing in the incorrect acco
unt number or the problem was on the bank's end. I'd hoped that upon my return this would have been resolved, still not and just as I was going to ask for a new account number Rogers suggested that. It took like half hour and me waiting another half hour before trying to establish the account online once again. WELLLLLL LOL it worked the first attempt - my fault or bank's fault, I doubt it!!! They did give me a $50 credit for the unjust frustration when it was noted on their system that they KNEW this was a problem with new account numbers and i should have been told that when called.

 4. My putting my Shaw internet and phone on HOLD while away was a major mistake and not really sorted out, but finally after many conversations with Shaw (some heated) it's possibly resolved but not back to how it was. Oh well I give up!

 5. My van was broken into/attempted theft while i was away too and Autopac's measly offer was reconsidered and we've settled closer to my counteroffer based on online adds and submitted repair bills and I've accepted, now to search for a vehicle to my liking, not gonna rush into things.

So sometimes one has to whine and complain to get some honest consideration, even if I did not get what was or what I'd like, at least it was more fair than first options given. Hopefully now I can get on with my retirement life and find some routine for the future.

MARGE 2015 Christmas Luncheon

WOW today was my first Manitoba Association of Retired Gov't Employees (MARGE) Inc. meeting and Christmas luncheon that I attended.  It was like any other association gathering and only one other Agriculture retiree there.  I did put my name forth to assist during renewal time about 3 hrs/week for maybe 2-3 mth time period.  During lunch they drew door and table prizes and I won the table centre. It's beautiful.

Now this is Something!

Here is something I'm impressed with and would sure like to try, when I finally get this place organised, instead of a tree!  All these years of searching for an artificial one I still have not found "the one" I truly like.  Maybe I can find a second hand one and make my own design?

Hmmmm this definitely is doable.

My Costco Wagon

A friend asked for more info on my wagon so I thought I'd use pictures and rulers.  Also it has pockets at the back and two water bottle pockets in the front.  ðŸ˜‰

Bye Bye My Montana Van

Well finally my Autopac claim of vandalism/attempted theft on my van has been settled! They initially offered me $2,293 without reimbursement of bus receipts and I declined, searched Kijii and the Winnipeg Free Press for 2003 Montana vans and sent in the links and info with my counter offer of $3,500 including bus receipts. They replied with $3,105 and are reviewing the bus receipts (instead of car rental - cheaper for them and less worry for me).

So today I went and accepted the offer and even found out I have a refund of $239 from insurance paid already as they backdated the claim to September when it happened. The two cheques should be in the mail within the week, then I'll be depositing it to keep till I find a replacement vehicle.

Now I'd have rather had my van fixed, not vandalized and still driving it for another couple of years, but both mechanics have said the undercarriage is rusting and it'll go fast so maybe this is for the better!

BYE BYE BABY!!!
